Solar Panels
Solar panels are the catchment of the sun’s solar energy to become electrical energy.
The solar panels are coated with Photovoltaic resistors that store electrons. Sunlight releases Photons that is collected by the solar panel surface which will then activate the Electrons to move around the solar panel where it is channeled into an electrical circuit to become electricity. The energy Direct Current (DC) is converted into Alternating Current (AC) by an inverter to power house appliances or lights.
At MacSol, we sell efficient solar panels that maximize the conversion of solar energy into electricity. We partner with international 1-tier brands that are tested safe and reliable.
*1-tier is the top rating for a solar panel manufacturer.
Solar panels ranges from 120watts up to 325watts. They can be connected in series to achieve higher kilowatt rating depending on the household requirement.

Inverters
From the solar panels, the inverter will receive the power produced by the electrons.
These are Direct Current (DC) so the inverter’s function is to translate DC into Alternating Current (AC) which is the main power language of appliances or high voltage machines.
The Inverter kilowatt size is parallel to the kilowatt output of the solar panels. Our inverter starts from 1kW up to 30kW size for Grid-Tie and Off-Grid solar power system. Kodak is one of the inverter brands we rely for our huge solar projects.
Controllers
The Solar Controller is for Off-Grid Solar System.
The main function of a Solar Controller is to make sure that electrical impulses are charged correctly into the battery. It monitors that charging is deeply cycled (battery power is consumed at maximum level) while not draining the battery. It also controls the battery to not be overcharged and current will not overflow back into the solar panels.
You can choose between Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). The difference is their method of charging the battery. The MPPT is more efficient as it reads the solar panel output before sending to the power bank. It balances the input equals the output to the battery. PWM charging method collects from series of solar panels to the battery. When the output from the solar panel is greater, it is diminished to charge the battery. When battery charging becomes higher, the solar panel output also rises.

Batteries
Batteries are needed when Solar Power System is Off-Grid.
Deep Cycle batteries are recommended for the Solar System because it allows more than 80% of its capacity to be utilized and recharge again. It can handle hundred repeated recharging and prolong use unlike car batteries which is used for car cranking where it provides high voltage at faster rate to start an engine.
Among the popular type of Deep Cycle Batteries used for solar system are lead acid, gel, absorb glass mat or lithium type. The types mainly vary on their capability, efficiency and price. However, it will still be up to the end user’s discretion on the prevalence of the solar power use.
MacSol provides Lead Acid and Gel type deep cycle batteries.
